An excellent network of contacts in the Australian Mining Industry, strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal capabilities are essential.

In addition to a competitive salary, we provide opportunities for professional development, performance bonuses and shareholding opportunities in the company, as well as a flexible work environment and city-based location.

Essential Requirements:

  • A minimum of 15 years of applied geoscience and resource estimation experience, preferably with strong operational experience.
  • Previous consulting experience, including managing teams in a competitive consulting environment.
  • Demonstrated business development track record of establishing a client base and building teams around you.
  • Strong geostatistical skills and proficiency with computerised resource estimation tools.
  • Sound geological understanding of mineral deposits, geological and assay data and mining-related assumptions with the necessary skills to build 3-D geological domain models and resource models.
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary project teams, under dynamic and sometimes challenging conditions.
  • Professional registration and experience to qualify for sign-off as a Competent Person on JORC Code and NI43-101 technical reports on a range of commodities.

This position involves working in multi-disciplinary teams on a range of projects both nationally and overseas; local and international travel may form a part of the role.

  • An attractive compensation package.
  • Diversity of projects and clients within a quality-focussed consultancy environment.
  • Opportunity to be involved in the management of the business in terms of strategic planning and targeted business development.
