Erik has 15 years of experience in geotechnical and geo-environmental consulting. He has worked on projects in multiple climactic regions, from arid deserts to arctic regions. A major component of his experience lies in the siting, evaluation, design and optimization of mine waste management facilities. Erik is experienced in areas such as water management, hydrogeology and contaminant transport, site investigation, geotechnical data collection and interpretation, instrumentation installation, slope stability analysis, layout, volumetric calculations, tender document and construction specification preparation. Erik also has significant experience in the application of design concepts through construction monitoring of tailings management facilities using earthfill placement (cohesive and non-cohesive materials) and geosynthetic installations
