His expertise includes stormwater management and coordination of multi-disciplinary studies including pre-feasibility design of major dams, tunnels, access roads, pump stations and social and environmental studies. Small- and large-scale catchment assessment, and planning studies, floodline and flood risk assessment studies, and catchment management planning. Stormwater management for numerous chemical industrial plants including surface water master plans, assessment, design, and implementation of remediation schemes, assessment of municipal surface water assets, field data collection systems, condition assessments, and rehabilitation assessments. Assessment and remedial design for urban stormwater systems for a number of local municipalities including: Pretoria, Durban, Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Pietermaritzburg. Detailed design of stormwater control structures, design and implementation of remediation schemes, water resource planning including risk assessments of water supply shortfalls, design and project management of rural water supply and housing schemes, design of numerous automatic water control equipment including regulating gates, crest gates, scour gates, and diaphragm valves for irrigation schemes. Assessment and structural design of civil works for industrial plants, design of hazardous waste landfill sites, structural and civil design of fuel service stations and GIS development, and use of GIS for urban stormwater management environmental planning and management.
