Soumen has a broad background, including coal exploration projects taken up for JORC Resource Statement, planning exploratory boreholes, preliminary and advanced stages of exploration, formulating exploration plans, analysis plans and defining reliability and QA/QC of coal, geological due diligence and exploration, drilling, modeling for coal, preparing draft Geological Report on coal and lignite, and managing preliminary to advanced exploration projects for coal. Besides that he has experience in exploration and reporting for iron and manganese deposits. He also bears skills in operational wellsite geology and rock studies like carbonates and clastic rocks related to the deep gas exploration and production projects in Oman. Soumen is also experienced in supervising hydrogeological and geophysical logging programs associated with exploration projects. Soumen’s international experience includes many projects in Indonesia, Tanzania, Mauritania, and Oman.
