Steven Bateman

Steven has over 19 years’ experience in Exploration Geology; encompassing base and precious metals, diamonds and industrial minerals on projects in Africa, Central Asia, Middle East and South America. His experience extends from direct involvement in implementing and managing projects from grassroots reconnaissance though to mineral resource development, often in remote locations. Steven has significant knowledge in regional mineral prospectivity reviews, geological data interpretation, target generation and assessment, mineral exploration programme design and project strategy. Additionally, his role incorporates the building and training of exploration teams and the onsite management of multi-disciplinary projects. Steven is well versed in implementing and maintaining quality assurance and control protocols (QAQC) in drilling, logging and sampling in accordance with international best practices for the purposes of Mineral Resource Estimation. He has made substantial contributions to and co-authored several compliant Public, Independent Technical and Competent Persons Reports (JORC/NI 43-101) as well as undertaken independent projects review.

 Steven has developed additional experience in project logistics, scheduling and budgets and has three years experience as a Geophysical Logging Engineer in Western Europe on civil, water, and coal exploration projects.
