Neil has been with SRK for over 20 years, joining in 1998. Prior to this he spent 15 years in underground and open pit mines in Ghana and Zambia where he held various technical positions. Neil specialises in the geotechnical characterisation of rock masses, open pit slope design, mining method design and evaluation, rock support and excavation design, and numerical modelling. He has managed numerous geotechnical investigations, analyses, and design studies for open pit and underground projects at all project stages.
He has a strong background in geotechnical operational support and auditing. He has undertaken mining geotechnical projects throughout the UK and Europe as well as in West and Southern Africa, South America, Central Asia, the Middle East, India, and the Far East.
